DFZ Audio Extractor is an easy-to-use and free audio extraction tool that supports the following formats: avi , mpg, dat (VCD), wmv, asf (Windows Media files), mov, qt (Quicktime), flv (flash video), mp4, 3gp, vob (DVD). The quality is great, the sound does not need normalizing (i.e. increasing the volume). The program works with a list where you add the files you want to convert, no matter what format they are. Next you need choose all those conversion filters placed in-between the in and out. In the output options section, select an audio format that you want to convert to. Keep to the default MP3 format if you are not sure as this is widely supported on most hardware devices capable of playing digital music. Next, set the audio sample rate to 44,100 in order for the files to be as compatible as possible with hardware and CD authoring software which sometimes has troubles with anything higher than 44,100. Then you configure the conversion options for each one of them separately and finally click on the START button to let the program do the work.
