More recently he has worked regularly with director Martin Scorsese and has established himself as one of the top actors in Hollywood today.Leonardo DiCaprio's first big role was on the television series Growing Pains, and he got critical raves for his role in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993, with Johnny Depp) but he really became a major star with his 1996 role in Romeo and Juliet. After his starring turn in 1997's Titanic (with Kate Winslet), he was an international superstar, and a favorite of the tabloids for his pin-up looks and party-boy reputation.
